I was going to "photoshop" the bolts out..
I did actually think of Araldite but then thought how difficult it would be to remove if damaged in an accident..
Because the number plates are bent on the face lifted 211's I dont thing double sided tape would be up to the job..
You should have seen the fun I had bending the stainless frame over my knee to just the right (ish) amount..

Thought i'd attached a photo of the rear plate - held on by superstrong double sided tape. Holds well despite the weather/washing etc.

IMO i wouldn't recomend the velcro approach, i did this with my Pajero so it could be removed while off roading (broke 3 front plates using trees to stop !) anyway driving home from norfolk and hit a small(ish) puddle and the plate vanished this was brought to my attention by a friendly policeman who only gave me a producer so i could get it replaced.
