W124 Bumper chrome removal

How do you remove the chrome strips on the W124 front bumper?

Once the bumper is removed from the car you will see under the chrome strip the clips that hold it in place. Just slide the clips off.

Cheers mate! Tryin to modify that E500 front bumper thats why, but need to take those chrome bits off as its not allowing the sides to bend at all.

Also, went over a pot hole today accidentally which was hidden by the water on the road and it really smacked the near side front suspension hard. I pulled over to check it out as I was convinced some damage might have been done as it was a really hard thud, but nothing was there. If it doesnt rain tomorrow, im gonna take the front wheel off and check the springs and shock to see if all is ok!

I swear the roads are getting worse and worse and the councils dont seem bothered to even do anything about it!

The councils depend heavily on reports from the public -- how else are they going to know? My local council is good at responding. You can find a contact channel here:

Tagish: Web Content Management, Transformational Government, Complaints Management, Case Management

As said above, the winter weather accelerates the degradation significantly.
