ML Command, TV Tuner???

Hi i have just bought a new mercedes ML it has a command system, what will i have to do to have a TV working on it?? I think i need a TV tuner?
Also if i need a TV tuner will one out of a S-Class fit???
And does it come pre-wired in the ML???

So long as your comand has a TV button it is possible. The W220 2000-2004 TV tuner should be adequate but not the 2004 Widescreen version or the 2005 MOST version.

The cabling isnt so important, you can arrange to purchase an install kit and it will come with cabling. What you may need to look up is the place to install it and the bracket needed.

Hey thanx for that, well i know someone seeling a tuner part number is 220 820 18 97 The tuner Unit was removed from a new facelift S Class on PDI, me or the guy are not sure if its w220 2000-2004 or a 2005 most version. is there anyway of telling???

And are you sure it will work, it does not come with the brackets??
What do you reckon i should do??

I have a tv tuner in my ML, you dont need a bracket cos the ML doesnt (or didnt when I got mine) come with the option of TV. I mounted mine under the passenger seat on velcro to stop it sliding around. You wil need diversity antennas, I recommend two sets of Mb Hirschmann cellphone bumber mount antennas - 1 set in the front bumper & 1 in the rear. You also need a wiring harness - I got mine from Ebay cost about £50 or so.

the part number you need is 220 820 0897 .. 1897 is the wide screen version.

I have one as it happens but I'd need £400 . You can usually pick them up on German Ebay for around 300 - 400 EUROS

AS I said above, the ML is not designed for a TV tuner but it will fit in under the front passenger seat .
I have 2 sets of Antennas but no wiring loom to connect to comand,.

I already told you that in my PM. Please let me know if you didnt receive it. the price is what I am "willing to take" . Like I said, you can probably source your own stuff on ebay cheaper and I am more than happy to assist thru the forum with installation.
