Starting Problem e220 1995

Hi all second time on here after help was great last thread i posted. :)
My mercedes e220 has a trouble starting and will start but occasionally it thinks about it, turning over then not firing.
I had a chap come over and said it was a relay behind the battery it has a part number 000 540 5245 and says 15 amp and has a fuse on the top of it.
Does this sound realistic as he fiddled with it and said it was probarbly on its way out.

Sounds like the OVP relay? (Overvoltage protection relay). What year and model is your car? Does the ABS light come on at all when ignition light is switched on or when cranking? Can you hear the fuel pump pressurise? Do you know if you are having a problem with fuel delivery, ignition, or both? Maybe fuel pump relay. Any more details may help!
