W140 drivers window 'sluggish'.

Had a problem with the drivers window on my W140. When opening, it would only go half way, then stop. Was impossible to get the window all the way down.

I got the regulator replaced, and now the window works and goes all the way up or down.

BUT its action isn't smooth, and is sluggish at some points, as if it wants to stop - like its getting caught on something. Passenger window is fine, and operates smoothly.

Any idea whats up?

try putting a very light smear of vaseline in the window guides
