Hi,

I have a question about the MB W211 Command-system. Normally if you want to see a dvd, you need to stand still or drive less then 4 miles/h. I want to look a dvd (a passenger :D ) while we are driving with 80 miles/h. I heard that you need something, but I don't know what.

My problem: I want to look a dvd while driving 80 miles/h or faster. Who can help me, who knows a person that can make it possible?

Thanks,

John

Usually it is illegal and in some new systems not possible. Are you sure you want to make this option possible ?

Yes. But I know it could be dangerous when you're driving, but that's the risk I'm willing to take. This is actually the whole problem. It's more for traffic-jams. The MB-dealer says you can watch a dvd when you are in the traffic-jam. In The Netherlands you have mutch traffic-jams. But you aren't driving 4 miles/h. You're driving 10 or 15 miles/h and then you can only hear the sound and not see the movie. That's the whole problem. We want to see the movie when you're driving 10 or 15 miles/h.

Do you know who has that in his W211 Command or who can get it for me or who has it for me? The MB is from 03/2004. I live in The Netherlands b.t.w.

Thanks.

Stange but true. It is still possible to have an accident whilst driving at 10-15mph.

It deactivates for a reason, that reason is safety.

Thanks for the adress of MBenzNL. Does anyone know other adresses in The Netherlands where you can get the 'speed unlimited' for the W211 Command (dvd watching) build-year 03/2004?

From what I remember the first company to offer this for the E-Class was in the Netherlands. Try http://www.asv.nl/ go to multimedia and it explains it in there if I remember correctly. There is also a place just in Germany( near the Netherlands) that does this mod for Euro199, but I can't find there address at the mo. SteveNL probably has that address as I do not think (Sorry Steve if I am assuming wrong) that he has the computer to do it himself(Different to the Star DAS computer and not a MB diag tool).

ANY MB dealership with stardiagnose can get rid of the DVD safety triggers...10-15 minutes work with stardiagnose...

Thanks for the info. But, do you think the Mb dealer wants to do it for you? Because of the responsibility when there is an accident. Does anyone has done it by the MB dealer?

Hi, Stuyts

I have same problems with you. I own Star Diagnosis, but it can not be programming
for W211. If I fix this problems, I will tell you.
