W163 AMG antenna

does anyone know the exact part number (or where I can get one!) for the MY2002 onwards AMG GPS roof aerial/antenna?

This is the normal roof GPS/phone antenna A163 820 1575 available from MB parts dept.Costs about £75 ish

not sure if there is a different one that allows for the AMG kit. But your parts dept should be able to help.

Its has 3 wires - two of which simply connect to the prewiring above the roof lining near the hole in the roof. ie GPS & Phone. They are colour coded , so you cant go wrong. the third is for the US teleaid connection not used here.

Many thanks. I'll take a trip to the local dealer! Oh joy. Last time I tried to order parts for the car they declined my order saying that they wouldnt guarantee the parts would fit and therefore wouldnt take the order. Perhaps its time to find a new dealer!
