I have a 1992 190E 2.3L and it has an indicator light that keeps flickering and staying on from time to time and I an not sure what it means. It is a circle with 3 little dots on either side of the circle- can someone please help me and tell me what is wrong with this car? Thanks

Is it brake fluid level warning or handbrake on or faulty switch ?

If not, have you checked in your cars manual? its bound to tell you what the display means.

I wouldn't be so sure, the manuals for mine are awful and don't tell you anywhere near as much as they should.

You could try ringing a dealer - they should tell you what it means.:)

It means your pads are low or your brake fluid is low. I think it lights up orange/red?

If it's flickering on and off like you say then your front brake pads are worn and the brake wear sensor is intermittently making contact with your discs, and hence activating the tell-tale warning light. As mentioned above it should be in your car's handbook. Also if memory serves me correctly your rear brake pads are not fitted with sensors so it maybe prudent to get these checked when you get the front pads replaced. Don't leave it too long before changing the pads or you could end up scoring your brake discs.
