equipment installed in boot?

I have a W210 E Class and have installed DVD player, switching and splitter units, ps2, cd, tv tuner and now I want to add a recently acquired Neo Jukebox.

My problem is that I have run out of space on the underside of the parcel shelf and in the right hand well. As this project has developed there has been very little planning for future mods.

I am happy to remove all the devices and rewire/refit them but have run out of ideas :confused: .

I would like to install the units in such a way that it looks good and is easy and practical, I have even considered making an MDF shelf and fix it below the parcel shelf with some sort of hinge that would give me easy access.

If any one has and ideas or suggestions they would be greatly appreciated :D .

exactly what kit is in the boot (amps, ps2 etc etc)

how much if yoru boot would you be willing to consider giving up?

No amps just DVD, PS2, Neo Jukebox and space for future TV tuner. I will leave the CD in the side well.

The DVD and PS2 are on the underside of the parcel shelf but take up the whole under side.

I would like as much room left in the boot as possible but realise that I will have to sacrifice some space.

The one problem with all of the above items is that access is require to the front of the units so it is not an option to hide them away.

well what you could do is build up a shelf system on the other side of the boot to hold the eqiptment like this (http://www.talkaudio.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=119&size=big&password=&sort=1&cat=514) lad has done in the left hand side of his saxo boot, see what he has done is used thick clear perspex BUt if you wanted you could probably backlight a shelf like that

that shelf holds two monoblock amplifiers (running sub) and his frontstage amp so what you could do is build the stand so the ps2 draw comes out pointing to the other side of the boot, know what i mean? or if your a dab hand with some fibreglassing build a normal shelf for all the kit and then fibreglass around it so they look like oem compartments for all this stuff (properly cooled of course)

The other alternative is you check out the underside of the boot carpet up near the back of the rear seats. In the w202 there is a load of insulating foam there to keep out the road noise, IIRC MBenzNL has cut sections of this out and put amps in there etc. I think this space is also used by the optional high-capacity fuel tank if your car was specified for use in South Africa or somewhere :) .
