still got fault on car

further to recent threads ive posted i still am no further on with this very anoying fault, its a fault that does not hold as a malfunction so its very hard to find out whats the problem, most afternoons when the engine is hot i get a red symbol of a steering wheel along with a beep in the cluster saying steering w ajust lock, mercedes benz have looked at the car and they were a waiste of time but did not charge me, ive been told it maybe because the suspension has been nocked or light front end damage has happened and the car needs re calibrating whats the forums view please help regards roland.:mad:

isnt that just the adjustment handle for the steering wheel not in place?

no thats what most people seem to think and its locked fine with no probs this is an intermitent problem that comes on 4/6 times a day when engine hot.

but im sure thats the only thing that causes that light to come on? so maybe a switch loose at the handle?

is there some kind of switch on or near the handle, my car is the manual ajustment not electric but looking underneath the steering wheel area it looks very hard to get in there, what do you suggest, regards roland
