w202 fan stuck on when car is turned off??!

Hi, I saw this posted a while back listed as Constantly on fan..

Does anyone know how to fix this or what could be wrong?

its a w202 c200 2000 merc and when the key is in the start position the fan is not on, but when you turn the car off the fan turns itself on, even tho the car is cold.

Any info would be great.

The fan regulator needs to be replaced with a new one.
