It is unlikely to be pre-wired for rear speakers but the good news is that the trim comes away in a fairly obvious manner on the w202 and wiring is easily placed. I show pics of a lot of the wiring trunking in my HOWTO for comand.

Although to get the parcel shelf out you have to remove the C pillar trims first don't you - thinking of doing this would be nice to know if you get get away without taking the C pillar trims off.

I used speakers that sit on the shelf made by pioneer.. more expensive but dont have to cut holes..

OR you could go to your local scrappy and find a W202 with a rear shelf that has the speaker grills (just about all after 1995 do). You could then fit that one into your W202 and put a decent set of 17cm speakers and your sorted, will all look OEM as well.

Many a car was burgled in the 80s/90s for these visible box speakers.

they are hard to get hold of... got mine off ebay, think they were around £150 for the pair, but sound quality is superb..

I've got a spare rear shelf for a W202 with the grilles but its also got the rear headrest holes too, thats if you want to do this mod aswell as the speakers.
