TMC with Audio 50 APS

[SL300-24]

I have bought the latest software for my Audio 50 APS with TMC. I bought the discs from Germany and therefore have a German handbook which I cannot read.

When looking at the TMC messages you see a queue of cars with numbers 1,2 or 3 alongside them. Can anyone explain what the numbers mean?
Is there any other useful features with this latest software?
Also is there a way of getting a handbook from the net or elsewhere in English?

The closest to an Audio 50 APS manual I know of is this official MB site:

There are US Comand manuals available for download but in Europe we do not even get the car manuals as pdf documents.

Perhaps the TMC feature would be sufficiently similar in both Comand and APS, reading the Comand manuals could help then.

If you don't want to learn German, you can always order a new paper copy from your MB parts guy.

I believe that command also has the queueing cars displayed on the TMC report screen....... but what do the numbers represent please?

There seems to be a pretty comprehensive overview of the newer command APS system as in the W204 )or at least very similar) under the interactive owners manual setion of the MB UK site but only for the CL Coupe (http://www2.mercedes-benz.co.uk/content/unitedkingdom/mpc/mpc_unitedkingdom_website/en/home_mpc/passengercars/home/ownership/interactive_owners_manual.html)
Why its only there for this model I don't know but certainly is more up to date than the links for the e class etc

OK, I should have understood your issue earlier. You have to get help from one who has the same navi device but a later car manual. I cannot figure out what kind of numbers your system would be showing. This is what TMC does on a W221 but I don't find the numbers you seem to have:
