Never had this spec of COMAND before, only those in 211 and 221 models.
The map DVD is in the dash mounted unit and works well for up to 80mins at a time.....then it won't display the map (just as you are getting close to a destination!). The car continues to know where it is and the compass screen works fine. A nice lady asks me to insert the DVD to see the map, but it is already in. Remove and insert and after about 60secs a 'CD 0 error' message apprears. The unit will function again after being switched off and ign powered down for 10 mins or so. This is the same with the original disc and a copy I made to keep in the car.
The disc is pretty warm when it comes out, could it be a thermal or time out issue? Anyone any clues or seen similar behaviour?:o
