Earlier this year I had a problem with my Easy Exit feature not working. It went into MB and they diagnosed a faulty motor and advised a replacement one at some £350.
I told them I would think about it and, when I went back to the car, the Easy Exit was working again.
Hence I did nothing until six months later when Easy Exit stopped working again. At the same time I started experiencing a battery drain of 0.25 amperes.
This was traced to the driver's seat controller and, when that was replaced, the Easy Exit feature began working again.
Last week, when my car came back from the body shop, Summer Opening/Closing was not working.
I asked MB to look at this and, after 3 hours, they said it might be the Passengers window regulator, which was causing that window to stop halfway up, as if there was an obstruction. This they said was causing Summer Opening/Closing to malfunction. They recommended further work to strip the door down and ascertain if it really was the window regulator that was at fault.
When I got back to the car, you guessed it, Summer Opening/Closing was working again!
Could this be a similar problem to the first and be related to the seat controller on the passengers side?
