Heated seats

Thismorning i am wiring in my heated seats, its a pre-facelift 95 c36, i specially ordered a harness from the stealership, its pretty straight forward appart from there is three blue/white wires strapped together with red electricians tape, one goes to one switch,another to the other switch and one to a big plug where i guess the control unit goes.
Does anyone know if these are ignition or lights on or something?
Also im guessing the control unit goes in the front passanger footwell, is this correct?

The control unit sits under the steel plate in front of the pass-side seat under the dash...

gray/blue is illumination (the control unit illumi wire makes sure the red LED dims when you switch on the lights) - the connection point for all these illumi wires is at the side of the tunnel at the driver side in the cable tray...
