On my SLK R170 the tail lamp has a plug with wires numbered 1-6 and colured accordingly:-
1=Brown presumably earth?
2=Grey/Black
3=Black/White
4=Red/Black
5=Yellow Grey
I'm trying to find out whic one is for the Stop light and which one is for reverse as I'm wiring up the parking sensors.
Thaks V much for any help.

Just use a meter on the metal ribbon in the light unit to deduce which connector feeds what.

Make one. Get someone to step on brake while you test. Then put in reverse and test again.

Should be the Black/Red wire (black should be the main colour). Also the 5th should be grey/yellow. (You must be talking about the left light assembly for a RHD car?)
