hi there just had the comand sat nav fitted,and wait for this went to the main dealer to code it for the instrument cluster and did not charge me a bean,MERCEDES MACCLESFIELD,OK can some one please tell mr how to switch over from kilometers to miles thanks again for everyones help.:bannana:

This can happen in a few cases, one is the map update. It should get fixed if you go to the cluster menu and select kilometres (I assume you have miles selected) and change back to miles.

I'm just wondering how this was with UK cars, you had some restrictions because of miles being the default mode.

Good point, I somehow thought it was a W211 but from his earlier posts it seems it actually is a 2003 W203.

But the original poster has not visited the forum since placing the question (at least no posts), perhaps he has solved it already.

Yes, I thought it was a W169 as the forum ID is very very similar to the name of a customer who emailed me and asked very similar questions!
