Hey Everyone
I was told my Central locking pump is faulty because the central locking doesnt work and was wondering where is the pump itself also is it hard to replace myself and what would It cost roughly?
Thanks

It's in the boot.
What year C-Class is it?
(the early ones are cheap, the later pumps are quite a bit more)

I had the Pump replaced but the locks wont all open if the Key is inserted into the door but if the button on the dash is pressed all work so any idea why they the central locking doesn't still work 100% after the Pump been replaced?

It's A 1994 M reg C200
Alarm relay?
Alarm relay?
Well theres no history of An Alarm as when I bought the car no Fob was supplied because they said It had been lost and when It is found will be posted (Never happened) Now I did have A look in the Engine bay there is An Alarm box but It's disconnected. I was told It might have something to do with the wiring but where do you start?

Yes as soon as the Key was turned in the Lock all Door pins would open and not in drivers door but passenger !

The passenger door lock I suspect is the culprit.
Edit-wrong door lock
The drivers door lock I suspect is the culprit.
Ok so what should I do next as that doesnt have A key lock on It just A responder for Fob I think?

If you mean does the boot open yes It does but not from the key as It takes ages sometimes the lock doesn't turn but if you press the button on the dash It works yes !

you can operate central locking from the boot too on your model, try that... its either the switch at your drivers door lock or a bad contact at the pump... you need to do some testing to see if the pump is getting any signals when you turn the key...

Ok will try something tomorrow if the Weather is any good and what kind of issues do you think maybe I personally think It might be A bad Earth or something to do with the wires?
How long have you owned the car?
Do you have a one button flip out key?
If you do, have a flip out key, what happens at the drivers mirror when button is pressed, are there any lights there?

Dec as I have said before I was not given A Fob with the car just A master key so I wouldn't know tried buying A fob but don't know which one to buy then who will program It for me so the problems carry on !
You are very similar to my car in that we share the same year. You should have got a flip out key fob and a Scorpian alarm fob like what I have, you should also have a small round key for tuning on/off the alarm via a key switch, you probably have this key switch either on the alarm siren under a removal cover OR just above your knees under the steering wheel, OR in the glove box. However this doesn’t matter as the alarm has already been switched off and you don’t have the alarm key fob anyway.
The only solution to your problem, as far as I can see is to buy a new key fob from main dealer, the will program it, very expensive, but call and find out the cost, I Think it is about £200 but not sure (as far as I know keys bought on Ebay don’t work)
Scorpion alarms went out of business a few years ago so getting a fob for the alarm is unlikely, it would need to be programed for your alarm, however I stand to be corrected on that opinion.
As far as I can see, there is nothing wrong with your central locking or indeed your original pump, it is the fact that the flip out Mercedes key is absent, the master key seems to be working normally as it is opining the passenger door, and that’s all that it will do, it wont open the rest of the doors. The central locking button on dash works, as it should, which proves the pump is o.k.
The short answer is that you need an original flip out key to replaced the missing one, (this will also be programmed by the dealer) you will need a lot of I.D. to prove you own the car, the cost may explain why the previous owner didn’t bother to replace the lost set of keys.
