hello pplz,

I havent posted for a very long time but I have been visiting the forum every now and then. Im not sure if any of u still remember me :p But im sure Richard does :) Ive been busy in my studies currently doing my A-levels

Anyway, its been 4 months and 6,000 miles. Its been excellent so far and thanks God no problems so far either, apart from a slight viabration which was just felt recently (last week) when the car goes over 80mph but today we got the car from the dealer and the problem has been fixed. The tire pressures were checked and problem is now solved :) Also, we got the cupholder fitted in today as well....cost 20 pounds but its a pretty slick gadgetry cupholder :D (I will post a pic later)

Apart from the viabration fix and the cupholder everything else is the same....which is that everything is going great :D Overall mileage consumption for the 6,000 miles is 30.1mpg which is good as the car covers both motorway and urban driving but more urban driving. The car does feel better with BP's Diesel ;) SBC Stop and SBC Hold are great features and get used quite a bit at traffic lights and in rush hour :)

I am thinking on chaning the fog lamps and the parking lights. Richard I think you have done this already. What did u go for? Is this right:
For the parking lights use PIAA 169 and fog light use Metal white H11's...and both can be ordered from www.lightingresearch.com? Thanks for ur help :)

Thats the update for now....I will hopefully post some pics later on. Second update will hopefully be after first service.

Thanks,
AkMaL!

To make sure are the H11's for the fogs and the H7's for the parking lights?

Here's the weblinks:

Are these right Richard?
Metal white H11's: http://www.lightingresearch.com/metal_white/h11w-55.htm

Metal white H7's: (70W) http://www.lightingresearch.com/metal_white/h7w-70.htm

Here's the thread you were looking for, I think - which contains all the info relating to Richard's bulbs !

Platinum White, I think are the ones used.

I see the cup-holder is still the wrong way around and only really works for LHD vehicles!

I think threads about bulbs should go in the electronics section, moving!

Sorry, haven't been on the forum since yesterday. Sym gave all the correct info. Platinum white PIAA bulbs are the 169, they are the same thing.

The H7 bulbs would just be for the full beam and aren't really worth changing, just go for the side lights above, plus the fog lights.

I haven't found anywhere in the UK that does the H11 bulbs yet (well a HID look bulb anyway). PIAA in the US does sell them so it might be worth contacting PIAA UK. They were helpfull when I contacted them in the past.

The cars looking good Akmal. I went for a cupholder too, very usefull but as Nick said really designed for LHD cars.

I couldn't find either in H11, which is why I had to order them from the States.

PIAA in the US seem to advertise them though so they are made.

I'm pretty sure you will find they are H11 though Brian. Worth double checking, they are easy to get to and change.
