Hi All,

New to this forum as I bought a 2003 W211 E200 about two weeks ago. Delighted with it, however its mind numbingly confusing trying to figure out how to upgrade the Audio system.
I've ruled out upgrading to Comand as the cost is prohibitive and I know of no one in Ireland who can help me if I screw up the installation.
I have an Audio 20 CD with CD changer with no audio gateway. Supposedly the most difficult to upgrade. I was about to give up until I happened upon the site: http://www.higheroctane.com/onlinestore/mobridgeipodconnector.html

Looks like it might do the trick. Bit wary of no installation instructions though. Has anyone any experience with this?

Update:
Mailed the higher octane people and got the installation instructions from them and it looks fairly straight forward.

Again any body have any experience of this?

Don't think anybody on this forum has used them.....plus the Merc kits are fairly new to market.

M0bridge started successfully with Porsche kits a few years ago, for some reason solutions involving fibre optics (especially Audi/BMW/Merc) always take an eternity to get to market.

It is all rather moot anyway as these kits will be dying out as memory cards get cheaper and become standard fixtures.
-3 years ago 1gb approx £60, now 4gb is less than a tenner.

My main concern is dealing with a business that only has a mobile phone for calling.

Thanks for the reply.

I agree with flash being the medium for the future, however I'm stuck for choices and this looks like the most cost effective way to get my ipod hooked up at the moment.

The crowd I linked to also have an ebay shop apparently. I'll check it out for reputation. I've also had a look at the Denison Gateway 500. Not sure yet how the two compare.

That's the kitty, Dension, took an absolute age to get going. I gave up on them in the end. You should find plenty of info on them via google.

Google top tip! -

Dension is the correct spelling, however the whole world and their dog use Denison, so Google both.
