I have never removed my comand unit but is there any way of connecting an external HD to the unit?
Does anyone have a picture or a link where I can view the ports on the back of a comand 2.0 unit.
Is there a way of connecting the folding mirrors switch so the fold in when the car is put in Park?
Can the light option (lights turn on when the car is unlocked) be retro fitted?

Maybe the auxillary port could be retrofitted? I believe this is possible with COMAND 2.5.
Maybe member Alfie or www.comandonline.co.uk may be able to advise.

Comand 2 have the aux input for sound only, I do not think that 2.5 has it. there are the TV inputs for when a TV tuner is fitted.
The rule on folding mirrors would appear to be, that if you press the switch once and they fold, then you can, if you have to hold the button down when folding then no, they cant

The Aux port can be retrofitted in the W208 CLK with comand. However, if it came from the factory with comand then it should already be there.
To get a third party type of device hooked up then you are going to need a Dension or other type of interface such as the Alpine gateway.

I have an aux port in the glove box as my comand was factory fitted, I also have a genuine mercedes tv tuner under the back seat which activate the TV function when the car is idle. Can i connect an ipod or similar to the aux port or a port on the tuner so it reads the sat nav info from this device?
if so will it read the info from this device if I press the NAV button on the comand or does it need to be configured to read from an external device rather than the CD drive?
