Smart key and auto-open/close windows

Hi!


As you would know there is a really nice feature in some Mercs: so as you walking towards your car you can open all the windows- by holding OPEN on your remote/smart key. Same with close...
BUT for some reason it is not working for me!

It was working 2 month ago but stopped - I don't know when/why.
So I've read on the forums that sometimes reset helps (opening and closing all windows one by one and holding switch for extra 2 sec).
It didn't work

I've tried with 2 keys - both of them not working
Can't close/open windows from outside.

Any suggestions?

If I am correct -- this is done by infra-red pointed directly at the drivers door only...I think you have to be close to it...are you pointing it directly at the drivers doorlock from close up?

Yes :) I know how this stuff works - I've even done some troubleshooting as I've mentioned.
I'm sure it must be something simple :(

I've searched on forums but don't really know how this feature is called.
Comfort windows??

have try you tried it on the infra red receiver on the other door handle? try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 5 seconds, it may reset the fault.
