This has probably been asked many times before, but here goes anyway.

Just got a new phone..........

Well, when I say a NEW phone, its new to me via ebay. Its a Motorola V3i.
Good nick and only cost £35.
In my W203 I have Comand fitted. Whats the easiest/cheapest way to integrate this phone with the Comand unit so I can make/recieve calls on the move?

I would like to add at this point, I am no technophile and I need things explained reasonably FULLY.

Any kind, helpful souls out there who can offer words of advice and help?

Very many thanks to all in advance..........

I use a parrot ck3100 on mine and have to say I love it.
It doesnt fully integrate, but does mute the comand and uses comand speakers etc.

I fitted an ebay supplied Parrot CK3100 at £75 and found plenty of useful information & photos too within the threads of the forum

Are they easy to fit?

Is it a DIY job (I am reasonably handy) or does it need alot of dismantling and rewiring? That would be something I would rather leave to those in the know.

its doesnt intergrate it simply mutes the unit and uses the cars speakers when you use the phone.

my car came pre wired so I have a nokia 6210 sat permenantly in the arm rest cradle for dedicated in car phone conversations

I do however often plug my other mobile into the aux socket on the command because I have a pretty extensive music library on it and prefer to listen to this thru the speakers rather than playing the cd's in the autochanger and I noticed some time ago that if somebody rings me while it's plugged in I can press the answer key and use it in much the same was as I do my pre-wired phone and all I use is an aux cable :)

You can add the proper factory pre-wire with a bluetooth cradle or the fixed Motorola cradle.

This will integratewith your cars instrument cluster and the steering wheel controls.

Not that big. Takes us about 2 hours to fit and code up.

Yes, go the factory pre-wire route with bluetooth cradle. Total integration with the car systems and pretty future proof :)

Alfie's your man :D

I went that route too. No question, it's the only way to go.

VTD- I have this phone

I have the UHI fitting and comand

I have bought on ebay a V3 cradle this gives me the option of either using bluetooth with the phone in my pocket or sliding it into the cradle and charging the phone and using the car aerial for a better reception.

I paid £65 on ebay...

I see you're coming to Ollie's GTG on Sunday - I'll show you then if you want
