Smoked Tailights

I have been looking for smoked tailights for my W203 for some months but no luck. Hence, i decided to do the job myself. Masked up, sprayed 2 coats of transparent black, let dry for 24 hours followed by 2 coats of clear lacquer. I quite like the new look suits my already black car, and a lot cheaper. Click to enlarge.

Thanks. Yes lights up red at night, and brake lights are very clear during the day. Will take some nightime pics.

My personal preference would have been to have the lights less tinted or tint the clear parts and leave the red bits.

As car already has brake light on bootlid, i considered the indicators and reversing lights more of a safety issue so decided to keep clear with no tint.

A job well done. Adds that extra touch to the beefy look the car gives.
