I have just bought an E320T 1994 W124 Estate. I have a problem with the outside temperature gauge.
It lights up okay but displays no reading. I assume it is either the sender or the display unit that is faulty. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to which one it is more likely to be?
Any part numbers and prices would be great too. Thanks. :)

I have never known it to be the display on a early car
The faulty miss reading gauges came much later

yes my SEC never worked, Sometimes the screen would be black, other times it would read -45 or something... then i cut a temp sendor off another W126 and tried that and it came on perfect...
