Not a discussion thread, more of an update:

Decided to invest in the HFP Bluetooth cradle (£220 inc VAT MB Milton Keynes) as the only means of keeping my phone & car updated together.

Although not MB 'approved' I can report:

Palm Treo 750 - Phone works but address book doesn't import from either 'phone or SIM

HP Mobile Messenger 6515 - Phone works but no data on unit so cannot confirm address book actions

Samsung G600 - Phone works, imports address book from 'phone (nothing on SIM so cannot confirm)

HTC s730 - Phone works, imports address book from 'phone (nothing on SIM so cannot confirm)

Hope this helps someone

Hi,

Thanks for this,

Theres more of a list (only a few more) on the pages at http://www.comandonline.co.uk/product.php?productid=16133

I think its time for me to create a database for this on www.mercupgrades.com - job for later in the week.
- If i'm going to do that, what catagories should I include (* = mandatory, and options listed)

Cradle used * (EU HFP, EU SAP, US Cradle 1, US Cradle 2, US Puck, ViseeO)
Manafacturer * (from drop down list)
Phone *
Date of test *
Source of test * (Cradle Manafacturer, Internet forum, Trusted source, Unknown)
S/W Version
Works as headset * (yes/no)
SIM download * (no/full/partial/not-tested)
Phonebook download * (no/full/partial/not-tested)
SMS * (no/yes/not-supported-by-cradle)
Notes (free text)

Any more ?

Cheers

Richard

Hi Richard

I think you've covered most of the key points but like any such database it will need as much input as possible from members on a rolling basis.

For what its worth none of mine listed above allow SMS/Text in or out.

If anyone in the Aylesbury area wants to use my module as a test bed to see if it will work with their phone let me know - with the proviso that the results are shared with you for the database - is that fair ?

The HFP doesnt support SMS. If you are in Woking or Ascot areas me or Alfie i'm sure are happy to meet up and do same.

Now to think about the database ..
