Sun roof electrics

At the weekend I removed the battery to replace the earth cable connection. After finnishing I noticed the front two windows needed re-set,as they would not close in the auto position.Today I tried opening the sun roof.The roof will tilt up,but not back down.The only way it closed again was putting the switch to the open & the roof closed then went into the opening mode. pushing the switch forward as normal to close it & nothing happens.The only way it will close is to put the switch into the tilt,then the roof will close ready to tilt up.Is there a possability the sunroof controls need re-set.
The car is a 1997 210 with factory fitted sun roof.
I would apreciate any advice

You have you do the same procedure with the roof as you do the windows

I will try it tomorrow, I assume its just holding the switch down or up for a few seconds.Same as the windows.
