W203 front fog light bullb replacement

Hi,

I have a 2002 W203 coupe with fogs fitted into the lower bumper or spoiler

Has anyone else had to change or repalce the bulbs in these lights ? it looks as if you have to remove a plastic panel in front of the front wheels to access the back of the lamp unit , am I correct ?

I have an E200K and to change the fog bulb you have to remove a plastic panel, it is just held in place by a twist tab. Connectors can be really hard to get off the bulb - they tend to corrode and almost weld themselves onto the bulb - I guess with heat.

Simple enough job, helps if you can jack car up a bit for easy access.
