Adding Steering Wheel Controls

Has anyone out there added Steering wheel controls to a 2002 A Class (Audio 10 head unit)

I've never seen it done but I gather the Audio 10 headunits have the relevant connections / pins.

What would you want to control? Audio volume and channel selection?

On a W210, the radio is equipped with CAN bus interface from 6/99 onwards. This is what you would need at the radio. I don't know how an A class is equipped but you would have to have a control box reading the steering wheel buttons and feeding the signal to the correct CAN bus.

I believe there is a forum member who has put everything on an A Class car and would know the exact answer.
