I have had a few changes i.e. auto folding mirrors, tyre pressure, fuel left, kph or temp selection etc..

When my car goes in for a service will the dealer reset these to UK standard settings or do I have to tell him I have changed them and to leave them as is?

Thanx

Might be worth just having a word to be sure.

I don't see any reason why they would reset them but only takes a second to tell them.

I think that is a perfectly reasonable request although, they might ask you to sign a disclaimer as they did with me.

I had numerous problems with my comand during its early life and, after a lot of re-flashes etc, it had settled down so I said that I did not want anything connecting to it or any updates applying. They went along with this but I had to sign the service document to prevent it.

Portzy.

Unless they try and specifically re-code the cluster the changes will stay - i'd ask them not to touch the coding of the cluster (apart from resetting the ASSYST settings for the service of course)

If they go through the 'auto coding' sequence then you could lose the fuel remaining , or if they re-code to UK some of those settings. BUT, almost every MB tech I know does not touch what is not broken.

Cheers
