Is there a way to enter a series of points into COMAND 2?
I realise that there is the option of entering stops on the planned route, but I am thinking more of two or three 'vias' that aren't on the route, detours if you like, that may be ten or twenty miles off route.

Go to the map menu you can then enter way points where you wish to

You can add them as stopover. Set up the route as per usual. Then use the "stop" function to add a stopover. The blue menu bar's has an option to enter an address in the usual way as the destination for the stopover.

Yes, the menu bar at the bottom of many screens:

The colour obviously changes when it switches to night time view.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking more of trying to 'force' a particular route on COMAND that I have worked out on a paper map. I tried to enter M3 J4 as an address but it assumes a Manchester postcode. And what is the address of a roundabout?

Boring bit:- I want to get from Sunbury to Portsmouth. COMAND says M3/M
27. Fair enough, a bit boring and goes the long way round. The alternative is the A3 but there are always megajams at Hindhead. So, M3 to J4, A331, A31 and A325 to join the A3 well clear of Hindhead. How would I programme that into COMAND?

You call up the map after a town or destination has been entered, and with the crosshair cursor you highlight your way point, and then you will be guided to your destination via the way points that you have selected

So let me see -- You want your sat nav to tell you the way to go?? No you want it to tell you to go your route that you already know well? I'm confused -- why are you using it? Just to get a pretty picture? Or do you want it tell you of traffic jams|? No you know which route is jammed... Hmmmmm:crazy:

Calm down, calm down!

I just want it to tell me when the road junctions are approaching and which way to go when I get there as I've never been that way before. Think of it as having a passenger mapread for you.

And of course, just to see if it's possible to enter a series of stops that aren't in a straight line all in one go.

She does tell you where to go, all of the time, and it is possible to put the stops where you like
