Upgrade to Bulbs on '05 SL500

Hi Guys,

I would like to upgrade the bulbs on the SL and in particular lose the yellow colour of the side lights and the orange effect of the front indicator bulbs.

Can you please recommend bulbs please and where to gey them from?

I do not think that there is anything that you can change, your heads are Xenon, you must have amber indicator bulbs, and there is only the one type of side lamp

You can get blue/white xenon look sidelight bulbs and also silvered indicator bulbs. Try here;

there is an OE silver indicator lamp from mercedes, it's cheaper than most of the 3rd party ones. B66800040 is the part code, 11 quid is what I paid, and they even come in a nice little mercedes box!

I will get some of the MB silver indicator bulbs (good call!). If the side lights (yellowish) are W5W's then I think I have found some whiter brighter ones. What do you think?

They are whiter, not brighter. You will see the blue when off.
The led 1w ones are a better call.
I use the silvered ind bulbs too.

Those indicator bulbs are something new to me.

The 2007 rear lamps are on Ebay in the states for $600 £300, I do not know what they cost here
