Hi All
Not sure if its Ok to start new thread...so here we go...

I have a w211

I am looking to retrofit Comand

In the last few days looking into this I have noticed that its a MINEFIELD..

I have full Chassis number and Special version codes of all extras on my car

I realise that I probably need

Comand
Navi Drive
AGW

I also realise that all cars take different parts code to the way they were originally built...but not sure why?

If I list all relevent information could somebody in the know ;)

please advise which units I need and the best place to buy...

I have looked on EBAY...for what its was worth.... and you can buy anything and everything but it may not work...

many thanks in advance...

and it is fantastic to have all this knowledge on a monitor in front of me...

first off, list your cars date of registration, second, tell us what audio system you have installed.i have upgraded to a comand system, and i agree it is a minefield, if you only have a single cd/radio then it might never work, depending on the age of the vehicle, and if you need an audio-gateway,and miles of fibre optic cable then i'd say forget it,it will cost an arm and a leg.also have a look behind the cover plate in the boot ( left hand side ) and tell us what is there.
