Hi all,

Just bought and s class 320. very happy with it. but i have an itch i just have to scratch.

i'm wanting satnav/tv/dvd in the car. currently it has got either an audio 10 or audio 30, i dont know how to tell the difference. but i'm looking to change this.

i've searched thru the older threads, and read about changing to a command 2.5. how hard is this, is it just a simple case of whip out the old and pop in the new 1. are all the conections the same, do i need anything else, can i add tv to this, can i watch dvds on it, can i add more screens to it.
i'm quite handy with electrics and diy but need to know whats invlolved.

also seen a few command units on ebay. does the 16:9 fit in a 2001 same as a command 2.5 will?

sorry for so many questions but i like to learn.

Hi and welcom to the forum.

Send Alfie a PM, he is a member on here. Or go to his website comand.co.uk and Email him.

I dont think he installs comands in your model of car, but might be able to advise.

I'ts not an easy task installing a comand in your model, but possible.

Regards,

Alex.

hello again.

right i've had a change of plan.

after looking at the price of command units i decided to put in my av install from my old lexus.

its a pioneer avx 7300 plus an avic 8 dvd satnav,

my question is - will this work ok with the existing speaker set up? is there an extenal amp in the w200 or just a normal iso connection to the speakers. i ask because theres 10 speakers plus the sub.

Hi there firstly congratulations on the purchase and secondly welcome to the forum. Theres deffinatly a amp in there for it to run that many speakers and a sub because remember a standard head unit would only run 4 speakers front and rear. Location wise I wouldnt be ***** where exactly it is, but some mercs have it in the boot somewhere.
