View Full Version : Old Nokia 3110 to 6210 or 6310i Conversion

It appears that I have wiring and a cradle fitted to my 99 S500 for a Nokia 3110. Can I swap this out for a 6210 or even a 6310i. A straight swap out of the cradle would be my preffered option but I don't know if the wiring is compatible.

yes i think the adaptors are available, i bought one from a local mobile shop but im sure ebay would have one..

I'm not familiar with the 99 S500 options but are you talking about UHI cradles? This is a 99 car and cannot have any UHI setup.

From the parts figure I see that a pre-UHI setup for 6310i has been available for this model at least (part 170 looks like a Nokia FSE).

I don't think this device supports Nokia 3110 (not familiar with a 3110 setup either), other phone interface boxes appear in the parts figure too, my guess is that the 3110 setup is using one of the other boxes.

When did D2B actually appear on a W220, it was 99 for W210 and the Nokia 6310i FSE is D2B based. ConradUK, if you could give your VIN, it would be possible to check what exactly your car has from the factory.

Thanks for the info, the VIN is WDB2200752A023401. The Part number for the cradle fitted is A220 820 03 51

Just go UHI and then you have no problems.

OK, miro already gave you the right way forward. Your car does have the part number "170" or A2208200985 control box but you would still need a new one. And it does have D2B equipment.
