GPS Antenna location

Where is the factory fitted GPS antena located on a C class (2002) W203?

I am going to DIY fit :eek: a command unit and wondered if anyone has any advice on where to locate the Antenna?

I think the factory fit is somewhere at the rear of the vehicle. May even be on the rear window. I have recently fitted a commant in mine and I used A non MB GPS antenna which I have located in the top dash above the instrument cluster. The antenna can recieve a perfectly good signal through thin layers and I get up to 8 satalites with mine.

I have a W203 comand antenna in my W202, it's glued to the underside of a speaker grill on the parcel shelf! :)

Thanks guys. I am planning to fit a parking display on top of the dash on the speaker grill. I might look at putting the GPS in front of that 9see how it looks). At least it saves having to run the wire from front to back.
