Hi guys, I am a new owner of a 2000 CLK 430 convertible. Only problem I have is the roof switch when roof is fully closed still flashes, this appears to mean the roof is not closed, but definitely is. It also has some kind of interlock meaning the boot will not open. With the roof down the boot is fine, there is also an audible beep to say the roof is open, no beep when you close it.

No real problem apart from the feeling that maybe the roof is not quite shut properly

My local dealer had it today for a service, but could not trace the reason for the light staying on

What a pleasure to find these pages of help, hope somebody out there has a fix for me

My first request and it seems to be failing! Has nobody had a similar experience, or have I not explained the condition wel enough?

Everybody else seems to get loads of reaction, i am feeling like 'Billy No Mates'

Just clear up the billy no mates remark which incidentally made me chuckle, i have the same problem on my CLK 430 Cab. I wouldn't worry about it, mine happens once in a while, but the roof is defintaley shut. Its small technical fault. But it get it checked properly of it bothers you. Thanks!
