air con pump

hi to all i have a e300td 98 estate problem i have is i have no live feed to the air con pump. the lights are working on the ec switch can anybody point me in the right direction please many thanks

Is the light on or off. On indicates EC mode where the aircon is switched off.

If the light goes off then back on it will be system pressure is low due to leak.

thanks dieselman the lights on the switch seem to be working ok just cant work out why no live feed to pump would low pressure or leak cut power to pump many thanks

If the gas is low, there would be no power to the pump.
Get a specialist to do a dye test to check for leaks before topping up.
