Lifetime Warranty on w211 Xenons ?

I remember reading 'somewhere' that the xenon lights on my 2003 E Class had a lifetime warranty. What does this mean? One of them is showing a nice shade of pink and looks like it needs some work. I will call the dealer tomorrow and see what they say. I wish I could remember where I read it. Can any one help?

Took the car into the dealer this morning and despite the car being a month out of warranty, the service manager replaced the Xenon at zero charge. I'm well impressed.
