About one year ago I installed a kit from MBENZNL which included TV, rear screens and some wiring into a C55. Now it has been SUPER-upgraded to digital TV (SDTV DVB-T) with dual screen support*.

Same digital TV program on front and back screens

TV on front screen (COMAND)

* All 3 screens have individual source selection enabling each screen to use its own input (TV, DVD, MPEG4, MP3)

The digital part applies to countries with SDTV broadcasts. The tuner does also function in ANALOG MODE and has 2 AUX inputs. So it can be used in all analog signal locations to upgrade the following cars.

- W164 M
- W169 A
- W203 C
- W209 CLK
- W211 E
- W245 B
- W251 R
- W219 CLS
- W251 R

The channels can be stored in COMAND (Euro version) and controlled from the steering wheel. Rear screens work at all driving speeds.

Would the same digital TV tuner work with the COMAND unit in my 2003 C32? No need for rear screens - just the COMAND screen.

Not really. There is a special kit from MBENZNL that has a digital tuner, converter box and some other parts. It is made in the NL. There are also some specially designed digital kits from eBay.

I think that OEM DVB-T TV in the C32 is not easy because the original Mercedes solution needs the analog tuner and the digital add-on kit. I would ask Steve for a solution and I can install whatever he comes up with.

I think the W208 had analog TV before some countries had TV at all.
