How to trigger DAS star diagnosis not to expire when a version becomes old? Also can enable developer mode or do I need a special version of DAS?

Change date to tell star you live in past))
Developer mode can be reached with different licence key. No special versions, everything on the same dvd, including smart, some mitsubishi and vw!))

I know this way, changing the date to the past, however is there another way as well? (e.g. modifying registry settings etc)
Sometimes you work with a pc that is online and the date changes automatically, or you may have ot the pc some programs that require being at present rather than being in the past....

If you do a registry comparison from a 8-2004 install to a 11-2004 install it will be somewhat easier. Personally though the old versions are almost useless as they require new cars and new updates to stay relevant.

A DAS running in perpetuity is mildly useful.

As for developer mode .... dont get too excited. It's only useful for COMAND and instrument clusters in the broader sense. Anything more intense than that would be a safety issue and not something to dabble in.

I think it's time for you to post a HOW TO after being the recipient of so much solid information.

;) If I can help someone with what I learned of course I will, however I am not an "expert" yet miro like you are and my advice sometimes might be incorrect. However I like to help if I can. ;)
