silly question time

I was wondering if you could help, or shed some light, my g/f owns a 1999 w203 200 komp, and in the consol display the electronic speed display is shown in MPH.

I have bought a C Class coupe on a 51 plate registered Jan 2002 and in the consol the digital speed display is in KPH?

Anyone anyidea if this can be changed and ifso how, only the g/f is adamant my car might be an import ( - although all the documents prove otherwise) or is it just a case that mine is newer and therfore KPH is shown as standard?

I've just got rid of my 03 C class coupe today, so I don't have the manuals etc. I think that there is an option in one of the sub menus to change this from KPH to MPH, as well as things like temp settings (Centigrade or Farenhite) and clock (12 or 24 hour), the settings could only be changed when the car was parked, but I might have been wrong!
