I have been following Brians thread with interest as he was fitting a Sat Nav and the information gleaned was usefull, but I am still not sure that the centre bottom of the windscreen is the right place?

No only that but I am a devout coward when it comes to pulling my car apart, and want to make sure I get it right first time.

Where's yours?

Paul.

I would personally put it close to the A pillar as this is easiest for hard wiring.

"A" Piller? I assume this is the pillar to the right of the driver?

Yes, A pillar. Put it in the middle and it blocks off the parking sensor display.

Also can poke the wire into gap betwixt dasboard & body shell. If you do not want to hardwire, the supplied straight wire is long enough to run wire into gap between the underside of the dash trim and carpet, behind pedals, wiggle wire under mat and the plug can live between lhs of seat & transmission tunnel until you need it.

I put mine in the centre to the right of the parkronic display, I prefer it there and it is also a better position for the laser sensor. I use the magnetic stick on pad which is stuck to the dashboard.
