Phone cradle - which one is installed?

My car has come with telephone pre-wiring and a cradle. The garage think it is for a Nokia 6310i but it doesn't appear to work. Is there any simple way to tell?

I tried it with a Nokia 6310i handset today and whilst I could hear the other party loud and clear, they couldn't hear me at all. The codes on the cradle doesn't appear to match anything from the price list. The codes are as follows:

03W37
157785022009

Does that mean anything to anyone on here?

Sounds like its for a Nokia 6310i then, if your phone fitted it !

Perhaps there's a fault with the microphone ?

Agree with Sym if the cradle and PSE was for anything else eg a nokia 6210 the phone would not work. Microphone loose connection or cross connection.

yep , sounds like a cuffed mic .

Mic is in the rear view interior mirror , you can see the 4 grilles.

w211 only came with 6310 pse

Don't know - they picked it up in the PDI. It just gives a pathetic "wah". They couldn't get the parts in time otherwise I would have been none the wiser. Apparently it is a ten minute job to replace it and is held on by a single bolt.
