My front parking sensors keep going off when nothing is obviously near. Happens usually once every journey. I've cleaned them.
Also I think the back ones (towards the edge) aint working as I nearly hit the side of a car when reversing into a space this morning. Is this a tricky one for the dealer (ie taking bumpers off etc).

Where the sensors are in the bumber , these rub strips come off independantly of the rest of the bumper.

Old cars yes, some new cars are moulded to look like they come off, but they don't. Pretty cheeky really.

The strips come of the bumpers on the W203s – mostly likely you either have duff parking sensors or alternatively the PTS module (located inside the interior boot lining trim on the passenger side of the car) – it must be the PTS module as I cannot imagine sensors front/rear sensors would go together.
Perhaps there was radiation interference when you were reversing etc. or traffic lights nearby – sometimes traffic lights cause one yellow bar to activate on my PTS display (front) when stationery. My PTS module on W203 has been replaced as a precaution under warranty by Stealer upon my request.

Forgot to ask Culpano - are your sensors OEM factory fitted or Retro-fitted?

Add-ons by Mercedes (£590 !). Recently the problem has got worse where every other time I braked the red light appeared + a loud beep emitted. So last night I took out all the front sensors and wiped the dust of the back of them around the contacts. Also I noticed a screw connecter on one of the wires leading up to the sensor was a bit loose so I screwed it tight. All perfect today. Not one beep out of it !
