What is this for ??

I have a W202 Facelift and I am interested to find out what this is....See desciption.

I have no photo but, in the boot, under the carpet to the rear left near where the jack sits, there is a white plug in module that is clear and liquid filled. What is it ??

I can only assume it is a tilt switch for the alarm ?

Any ideas ?
