My AMG Alloys need a bit of a refurb as they're looking a little tatty. Just wondering if anyones had it done, how much it costs and what sort of result I can expect.

The alloys were factory fitted and it looks as if the lacquer is coming off from the wheels. Any chance they could be covered by the MB warranty?

MB may try to get out of it, but stick to your guns and they will pay out for new wheels, or at least a re-furb.

Good re-furbs are normally £40 a wheel.

Koolvin has had experience with these.

I had mine done by lepsoms in kent

Well worth the drive - couple of days turnaround - but the result was excellent

see my post here (http://194.154.162.24/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=443&perpage=15&pagenumber=1)

This followed Koolvins thread and Pauls recommendation here (http://194.154.162.24/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=448&perpage=15&pagenumber=1)

The threads are a little hard to follow since the forum change - but I'm sure you will glean the necessary info :)

Try Wheelrite at Gosberton (Nr Spalding).

Is not to far from you. I have never had wheels refurbed there, but they did quote me for doing mine, and it was £40-45 per wheel depending on damage, that was for AMG rims (polished rim). Have not had it done yet, but they had a Audi 17" and a Golf GTi BBS Split Rim in that had been done and they looked spot on. The place looks a bit scruffy, but the guy knows his onions, and they have been there for years.
