Hi People

Took delivery of my new ML270 yesterday. I want to take the Audio 10 out to fit my Clarion head unit and Neo mp3 jukebox. Does the Merc head unit have any screws holding it in? I have bought a couple of 'keys' to remove it but it seems to be held in quite tight

There are no screws, at least on a CLK. Double check you have the right keys and make sure they are inserted ALL THE WAY, until just the ring is exposed. It might be a little snug but it should slide right out.

Thanks. I think I have the wrong keys, I'll try and source some 'proper Merc ones' today

All sorted my local dealer (who I didn't buy the car from) kindly arranged for one of their guys to remove the head unit.
I thought you all said service from Merc dealers was crap :)

I have never said that, but then I have been lucky I think, my local stealership is excellent! :)

Glad you got sorted with the radio removal.

I have never said that, but then I have been lucky I think, my local stealership is excellent! :)

But then again, I have good days & bad days with the same stealership. Its all down to the relationships you build with the person on the service desk. Personally, I can only get sense out of (& therefore imho good customer service) 1 service guy & 1 parts guy. The rest seem to have lost their way since MB took them over.
