Does anyone know whether you have to use the genuine MB Nokia 6310 car kit to operate through the steering wheel and comand or is their any alternative.

My W209 does not have the tel prewire or the centre storage facility so where do you put the 6310 holder etc.

You can look into the UHI prewire upgrade and have the use of several Nokia, Sony, Seimens phones.

Any idea on how much would a UHI upgrade cost? What is involved? Changing all phone related components?
